DRIVE TIME

Drive Time

An Afternoon,

Somewhere between autumn and winter,

And we are driving,

I don't know where.

I can't remember why.

Sometimes, we just started driving.

Was there a destination?

That piece of road,

Seen through the filtered sunlight,

Stays with me,

And I don't know why

Just Dancing

The music and the dance goes on
Exhilarating
The breathless dance
Over in a heartbeat 
And eternal
All in one
And one in all of me!

Little Man

So I go blithely on!
Setting out each day
Bag on my arm
And shoes nicely polished
To live in my world
Doing my things
Proud of myself
Well almost
And there you stand
Or rather slouch!
Unwashed
Unshaven
With a leer
And calling my bluff!

Where there's a will

If I knew for sure
Would I concur
In the erosion
Of my will
I think not
But as it is
And not being sure
Only suspecting
I dismiss resisting you
Luxuriate
Give in
Submit
Get lost
In your concept
Of the world

Dreaming again

It was a dream and I know it
You were all warmth and gold
All the colours of Sunshine
You at the centre of a world
Like no other
You old as time itself
But nimble like the Spring
And your music
Making a still point
Where none was before

Grandfather

Grandfather on the plains
Looks to an orange sky
Raising his eyes from Mother Earth
Dreaming with Father Sky
Clarity in the ancient mind
Resolution
Resolution and fulfillment
Peace – Sky and Earth together
Passing beyond time and space
“We are here” sing the rocks
“We are here” hum the distant mountains
All are one in meditation.

Rainbows

Rainbows
Rainbows and colours
You are all rainbows
You are all colours
Created from pure white light
Moonbeams and sunbeams
Direct and refracted light
All the pieces of the rainbow
And dancing with life itself
You are all colour
You are all sound
Vibrating
Oscillating
And flowing with the rhythm of life
